My story
Six feet from the Korn Ferry Tour
Fall 2025 · KFT Q School, 2nd Stage
I stood over a six-foot birdie putt on the final hole of Korn Ferry Tour Q School. Make it, and I'd advance and lock up Korn Ferry Tour status. It lipped out.
That miss came at the end of the best season I'd ever had: 17 of 18 cuts made, 12 top-10s, and medalist at US Open Local Qualifying. It hurt. I did what golfers do and went back to work.
2026 · The response
2026 turned into the most consistent year of my career. I opened it with a win at the Power Ranch Championship, shooting 63-64-67 to beat a field of 112. Two runner-up finishes and eight top-10s followed, including the Colorado Open and a 19-under week at the Hillcrest Pro Am.
I was playing the best golf of my life.
August 11, 2026
Driving home from my last tournament of the summer, I was in a serious car accident. I fractured my neck and needed surgery on my left elbow. I haven't swung a club since.
Like most professionals outside the big tours, I play without a salary, without a team behind me, and without health insurance. The medical bills from that night have climbed well over $100,000, and I haven't earned a tournament check since.
The surgery went well. I'm three months into the hardest rehab of my life, with a clear plan to be practicing in January and competing by late March. I'm not done yet.
